2018

Christmas is happening once again in our lives. (A year has gone by? Didn't that happen a couple of months ago?) Our year has been filled with blessings. We celebrated our 60th Wedding Anniversary, we are healthy, there was only 1 surgery (trigger finger - and we do not own nor have we ever shot a gun!), we purchased a new (to us) car, we have wonderful family and friends, and we are thankful for all of you. We live on a "no outlet" street in a magnificent area of the USA with wonderful neighbors and we spend a great deal of our time watching the wildlife in our yard. We have majestic deer, energetic squirrels, chipmunks, foxes, groundhogs, raccoons, muskrats, turkeys, geese, ducks, and a variety of other fantastic birds. Many photos of the wildlife can be seen at http://drwmramsey.com/photos.html.

Snowball

When not gasping for breath while trapped in the glass snow globe (pictured above), we continue writing our on-line memories. Most of the entries are short fond remembrances of fun things that have happened in our lives - from Phyllis's wonderful, and sometimes misunderstood southern pronunciations, her first job in a dairy scheduling artificial insemination appointments, Bill's first disastrous public singing solo, his wardrobe malfunction while making his Carnegie Hall debut, Bill's embarrassing himself when taking Phyllis to become acquainted with his parents, and many other events during our lives. The index of these can be seen at http://drwmramsey.com/memories/. As with most everything else we do, this is a work in progress with frequent changes and additions.

We send our warm and sincere Holiday Greetings. We are so fortunate to have shared memories with you and hope you know that you have positively influenced our lives. We pray for a Peaceful New Year.

At the Stanford Service of Lessons and Carols the following passage by W. H. Auden was frequently recited:

And now, good people, our play is done.
But, to grace our going, let God's angel
Tell you tidings of eternal joy.
To the maiden Mary, the immaculate Virgin,
A baby is born in Bethlehem City,
Who is called Christ, our King,
and Saviour.
Sing glory to God and goodwill
Peace to all people! Praise the Lord!
