Liptauer Cheese Spread
INGREDIENTS:
1 8-oz. package cream cheese
¼ cup butter or margarine
3 tablespoons thick sour cream
2 anchovy fillets or 1 teaspoon anchovy paste
1 teaspoon capers
1 tablespoon each onion and chives, chopped
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon caraway seeds
½ teaspoon salt
5 drops Tabasco
INSTRUCTIONS:
Mash together the cream cheese, margarine and sour cream and 2 anchovy fillets or 1 teaspoon anchovy paste
Blend well together and add capers, onion, chives, mustard, paprika, caraway seeds, salt, and Tabasco.
Mix all together and allow to mellow for several hours. Keeps well when refrigerated.
